Weekend Recap: Falling for Fall

Fall is and has always been my favorite season.  Having grown up in New England it's hard not to love fall.  The crisp air and gorgeous leaf colors, apple and pumpkin recipes, football games and the return of cozy sweaters and boots! While we're not quite ready for the sweaters and boots around here, fall is definitely in the air.  I've been going non-stop since mid August with work, teaching and maintaining some semblance of a social life I had barely realized the turn towards my favorite season.  This weekend I decided to slow down, w-a-y d-o-w-n to try and take it all in; oh, and to catch up on some sleep too.  Here's a look at some of the low-key activities I got into this weekend that definitely had a seasonal influence.
A Lauren Moffatt-inspired manicure in fall colors
Farmer's Market meal of braised short ribs with polenta and garlic sauteed spinach
Pumpkin Blue Moon
New Burgundy Shades, Michael Kors gifted from my husband
Chai Tea and some light morning reading
What did you do this weekend?  I hope it was fantastic!

  2. I LOVE braising. It's one of the best things about colder weather! And I haven't garliced spinach before. MUST TRY.
