EBEW: When Irish Eyes are Smiling

With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, the March Everybody, Everywear challenge was to don our best green looks.  I am Irish and I like Irish beer but truth be told, green is not my favorite color. It actually may be my least favorite color to wear.  That said, I don't own much green but I do love this versatile sweater.  It's perfect with a shirt underneath it, or on its own in the warmer months. I paired it with my favorite blueberry pants and a pair of yellow sandals since it was 70 degrees yesterday and blue and yellow make green, or at least that's what I remember from preschool!

Green: Everybody, Everywear

Sweater - GAP Outlet, Oxford Shirt - Old Navy, Pants - Ann Taylor Loft, Shoes - Nine West, Necklace/Earrings - Chatham, MA.

So do you love green?  If so, how do you wear it?  Will you be sporting your best Irish attire on Saturday?

I totally understand your dislike of green. There are a few shades I gravitate towards - emerald and army - and other than that I don't touch the color at all. it often makes me look washed out and faded. Love the necklace you added to this look. - Katy

I love LOVE green! It is actually my favorite colour from mint, to emerald, olive, kelly, the only shade I don't like is Lime because it brings out my yellow undertones. I love this outfit, the layering and the necklace looks great and green is a neutral. Think of all the flowers and if they didn't have leaves and stems? They'd never look as beautiful without the greenery.

Hello, I spotted you on Everybody everywear :) this necklace of yours is beautiful!! Yeeees, I adore green, also because I see it as "an irish colour" and as a huge Ireland fan I will definitely wear green on saturday and also celebrate the day! :) Yay Ireland!

Say what?!?! I love to wear green. It might be because it always makes my green eyes look brighter and I get more complements than in other colors. My purse is green so I wear green every day. I'll definitely have green on Saturday.

Oh. My. Gosh. You don't like green??? It's my favorite color! I'm not sure we can be friends anymore. :(

Just kidding! I'm not Irish, but I'll be wearing green on Saturday. I'm not sure if it comes through on my blog photos, but I have yellow undertones in my skin, so green compliments my coloring well. I especially like kelly green and army green.

No doubt I will be pinched a lot on Saturday for not wearing green. I like your outfit and the mix of simple color everywhere--including your toenails!

I also dislike wearing green! I think it's just not the best on my skin tone. But I'm obsessed with the shoes and the necklace! Speaking of color.... what are your thoughts on neon this summer? I'm seeing it everywhere... Target, H&M, Bloomingdales. Is it only for tweens? Is there any way to try it without looking like I'm going to an 80's party? I'm feeling fashion-adventurous these days so I'd love to know your expert opinion :)

See you soon!
