As a child of the 80's I thought neon was the raddest. I rocked bright yellow scrunchies, hot pink socks and shocking green bracelets with the best of them. As an adult I'm not sure I could (or should) scrunch my socks or ponytail, and yet I still love neon, just with a modern twist.
For June's EveryBody, EveryWear neon challenge I wanted to combine several of my favorite neon pieces into one look. I layered a neon yellow tank under a neon pink sweater for work today. With an eye-popping top, I kept the bottom simple with a white eyelet skirt and nude pumps. I pinned this bright flower on my shoulder and added neon studs as I was heading out the door. I think my 1980's kid-self would approve of the adult version of neon.

I love that this is a more neutral neon (if such a thing exists) than the Lisa Frank binder neon. As a child of the last 80s, I'm not sure I can handle neon coming back but if it looks as cute as this, I think I'll allow it!
