Insta-Weekend: Beach Holiday

Well now, that was an unexpectedly long blogging break. Two Fridays ago our power was knocked out in the crazy thunderstorms that hit the Mid-Atlantic. It was a long, very hot weekend without power but fortunately good friends took us in each night so we could sleep in air conditioning.  As luck would have it, power returned just in time for us to head up to Cape Cod on Tuesday.  The past few weeks have been rough to say the least so I took my time at home to completely unplug from the world and it was WONDERFUL. Lots of good food, drink and family time was had.  Here are a few snaps from time spent in my happy place.

Cotuit 5k with my husband, mom and cousin
Beers taste much better on the beach!
Gorgeous Hydrangea-lined fence on my parent's street
Jamie and I at the Red Sox/Yankees game - boo Sox lost :(
Sesuit Harbor Lobster Roll -simply the best!
The hydrangeas at our house
4th of July trip to Sundae School
I've spent today trying to get back on track as well as meeting my friend's super sweet baby boy.  Sorry for the break, but I'm back with a new recipe, wardrobe and a giveaway! :D

What did you get into over the 4th and this weekend? I hope you stayed cool, it's just so hot right now!

Looks like you're having a fun summer. We didn't do anything for the 4th, but it's nice to just hang out and enjoy the weather.

I spy a Landshark, one of my favorites, and completely agree that it tastes so much better on the beach. Why is that? The lobster roll looks absolutely amazing!!
