Wednesday's Wardrobe: Head of the Class

As I mentioned yesterday, I'm teaching a college course this fall in the mornings before heading into the office for a full day of work. Needless to say, the wardrobe requirements for the classroom is quite different when you move from behind the desk to in front of the class. I need to look professional while also sporting clothes I can be comfortable in for 14-15 hour days.  I have been relying heavily on breezy skirts, breathable tanks and layering pieces like cardigans and blazers...and flat shoes.  I have been so nervous lecturing my legs have been shaky so I'm too afraid to sport heels.

For meetings at both school and work:
Sweater - Anthropologie, Scarf - Nordstrom, Dress - GAP, Shoes - Sofft via Nordstrom, Earrings - Laila Rowe

First Day of School!
Blazer - Old Navy, Shirt - Ann Taylor Loft, Skirt- Penguin brand via Loehmans, Shoes - Old Navy, Necklace - Eastern Market, Earrings - Gift
So excited to be teaching!

Lecturing on a hot pre-holiday weekend Friday:
Sweater - Ann Taylor Loft, Shirt-Anthropologie, Skirt - Marshalls, Shoes - Steve Madden, Scarf - Nordstrom, Necklace - Ann Taylor Loft

Have you ever taught a lecture or a course or even given a presentation?  What wardrobe staples do you rely on?

You picked some stylish outfits! Speaking in front of people is scary, but I just take a deep breath and pretend I am really confident even when I am shaking in my shoes, lol :) Heather

yes I have. I relied on the pieces that I could mix and match and build my wardrobe

These are great looks Cara! I especially love the leopard print scarf and that silver necklace! Whenever I present I try and wear something comfortable but still fab, so I feel confident. Also something that's good as is- so I don't have to keep adjusting! You look great!
