I think there is something really sexy and classic about menswear; pinstripes, vests, button down shirts, and blazers are such sexy, yet versatile wardrobe pieces. In fact, as much as I adore evening dresses, I really love when female celebrities wear tuxedos or well tailored suits to events. They are such wonderful and unique looks! Personally, I like wearing menswear when I need to dress up a simple look or when I'm trying to look powerful for a tough meeting at work. I am Cara, hear me roar! Coincidentally, over the past week I've worn several menswear inspired looks out and about.
I knew last week was going to be a graveyard quiet week at work so I wanted to be comfortable but put together enough if my supposed meetings came to be. The meetings didn't happen but at least I looked better than the three ladies I saw donning their tightest and brightest velour tracksuits. Speaking of track suits, please excuse my post run frizz.

Please excuse the unknown stain on my boob, I ate lunch carefully and still splattered. This is why I have to take pictures in the morning; to avoid gym frizz and lunch splatter!
This lil ensemble was for dinner out to celebrate our friend Amber's birthday. I love vests; always have. My mom used to sew me vests made of celestial printed fabrics and buttons that I was weirdly drawn to in middle school. Clearly, I was the coolest kid in school....or had a future career with Miss Cleo. While my sun and moon vests are long gone, I do own this pinstripe one that I have loved for quite awhile.

I picked this tuxedo-esque tunic up in Chicago, while helping a friend shop for new duds. I consider it my finders fee to myself for a hard day shopping for others. I love the tuxedo shirt pleats, french cuffs and diamond-like buttons of this top. It's the perfect combination of masculine and feminine and apparently that combination makes me laugh a lot.

Do you like menswear? Does it makes you feel powerful? Or do you trend towards more feminine and flirty pieces? Let's hear it!

I love it! I just hate ironing them. HAHAHA You added the perfect feminine touches to these Cara. Some women come off toooo masculine when doing this. I love how you softened it! Great look! :D

You always have the cutest accessories! Also loving those red pants on you!
I love your red, white, and black outfit the most. That is one of my favorite color combinations! I also love the unknown stain -- I have those issues, too. Unfortunately, cameras catch everything.
