Wednesday's Wardrobe: Old and New Favorites

Do you remember the camp song that went make new friends but keep the old, one is silver,  the other is gold? No?  I guess you were spared from attending Girl Scout camp. Anyway, this week pairs old favorites with new(er) pieces together in a few fresh combinations.

It took me a year and umpteen colorblocking bookmarks/pins to put these two together.  Now I can't imagine separating these brights from one another.  I love the pops of neon showing up everywhere for spring so I added my favorite neon flower to brighten the look even more.
Top - Forever 21, Pants - Ann Taylor Loft, Shoes - Nine West, Flower - H&M, Bracelets - Target

This sweater is an old favorite.  It's so soft and cozy, its like wearing a knit robe.  I paired it with this newer lace top for our ride home from New York for a casual travel look.  If you've been around awhile, you know I don't like messy travelers when there are so many comfortable options out there that don't involve bedazzled sweats or Uggs.
Sweater/Top - Ann Taylor Loft, Jeans - J Brand, Shoes - Tory Burch,
Bracelets - Forever 21, Earrings - Gift from Parents

I picked these shoes up on the Gilt Groupe final sale for a song after stalking them forever.  They are so comfortable, so glad I scored them! I wore this to dinner and the charity concert on Friday night.  The lace top has been one of my favorites for a long time.  It's so delicate and feminine and works great year round.  My Stella & Dot jewelry from the party two weeks ago arrived and I couldn't wait to wear them.
Top - Dillard's, Jeans - Ann Taylor Loft - Shoes - Plenty by Tracy Reese, Bracelet/Necklace - Stella & Dot

Do you reach for the same things time and again or do you rotate your closet often?  I'm trying to stretch the versatility of my wardrobe but its so hard to resist those old favorites!

Super cute looks! I end up wearing the same old things here lately, I need to start planning some outfits in advance so I just don't grab and go.

Of course I know that song... I definitely have my favorites, but today I wore a suit I hadn't worn in at least 3 years!

Cara, lace looks so good on you! I love these looks and those booties in the last pic are CUTE! Girl, I remember that saying. I was a brownie and learned it. HAHAHAHA I ducked and dodged buying girl scout cookies this year. LOL I try to pair up older items with something new to spice it up, freshen it up. If you have really good basics, its easy to do.

Oh yes, I remember that song. I was a brownie and never made it to the actual green Girl Scout uniform. Oh well, I still eat my fair share of the cookies though.

I am with you Cara, it's hard to not reach for favorites when you are running short on time getting ready in the morning! Love the 2nd outfit and your new S&D jewelry is gorgeous :)

The colorblock outfit is lovely and adore the sweet S & D necklace! Reaching for old favorites is a must on a busy schedule. Why reinvent the wheel when some looks just work, over and over. If I wear the same base outfit, I'll try and switch up my accessories or jacket/blazer/cardi to make it slightly different.

Your colour blocking outfit is perfect. Pink and blue is one of my absolute favourite olour combinations at the moment. The yellow really adds to the outfit too.
