A Glimpse at the Weekend

This weekend was jammed packed with basketball watching, volunteering, scrapbooking, running and a green beer or two.  It was a really fun two days, but as always a third day of plain ol' rest would have been much appreciated.  Here's a few pictures from the weekend.

Volunteering very early Saturday morning at a Water Stop during the Rock and Roll DC Half/Full Marathon
A festive beer during March Madness basketball
Cherry Blossoms in bloom outside our apartment - DC Cherry Blossom pictures coming soon!
A  comforting meal after a long day - the sour cream enhanced mashed sweet potatoes were so good!
Anyone else excited about the Hunger Games movie? This haunting song has been in my head all day, I really like The Civil Wars (featured on the track) and its making me excited for the movie.  I'm trying to place where this will be in the plot line.  I think I know, and it involves Rue.

What did you do this weekend, anything exciting?

Nothing exciting. Transitioning my closet. Cherry blossoms are always so pretty. I'm very excited about The Hunger Games movie. But probably won't see it opening weekend. Just too crowded.

The little guy and I volunteered at the animal shelter Saturday and the inlaws came over Sunday for a homecooked dinner and to help put together baby's nursery furniture. It is starting to feel real now! Looks like you have a great weekend. The cherry blossoms look so pretty.

I have never tried green beer. Does it taste like regular? (Not that I even drink beer...but was just curious...)
