Wednesday's Wardrobe: F(l)at Bottomed Girl

Did I just date myself with a Queen song reference? Hopefully not, but since we're still celebrating the shoe, the reference fit my recent shoe choices.  Generally I can get back into heels fairly quickly post-marathon, not Katie Holmes quick, but usually two days after.  However, after running through every sprinkler, hose and spray station between Hopkinton and Boston I had some fierce blisters that needed a few days of TLC i.e. wide, comfortable flats.  That said, the rest of me was pretty sore too so I opted for some of my softest, most cozy pieces.

Shoe Day 12: These Frye boots are some of my favorite shoes.  I love their buttery soft texture, rich color and simple shape.  They go great with everything, including this easy chambray shirt and faux wrap skirt.  I tried to jazz it up with gold jewelry and this great plaid purse my in-laws gifted me.

Shoe Day 13: I was so tired by Friday that it was all I could do to throw on jeans and a tee and go to work.  This cropped stripe top is so very soft but needs a longer layer underneath for work.  I paired it with another set of stripes and I'm not sure it works now that I'm looking at it. Oh well.  At least these earrings are awesome and the grey flats are uber-comfortable.  Winning!
Navy shirt - Marshall's, Tank - Old Navy, Jeans - Levi's, Shoes - Bandolino, Earrings - Boston, Bracelet - DIY, Necklace - Stella & Dot

Shoe Day 14:  This sweater is a newer purchase, I loved the cornflower color and the metal details.  It's also incredibly soft, like wearing a blanket.  I went cool hued pairing the sweater with my favorite blue pants and this beautiful scarf. These gold-toed Steve Madden shoes were $9 but I wear them all the time, such a great score!

I hope your weeks are going fantastically well! It's Wednesday, halfway there!

Cute outfits. I have a pair of very similar gray flats that have become my go-to shoes because they match everything.

I got your Queen reference! It's OK. I'm dated and old too. :)
