Part of why Friday's Fancies are so much fun is because they allow you to dress a body other than the the one you wake up with. If I had a dressform of a figure I would absolutely wear everything I feature in these posts but I am not blessed with such proportions. With chambray as the item du jour, I could have taken my outfit in a number of different ways. I tried something different and built this look while watching HBO's Girls and thinking about the character Jessa. Are you watching it? It's incredibly awkward but also somewhat funny and endearing? While palazzo pants aren't designed for my short, tree trunk legs they are a pretty chic and cool look for spring. They would pair wonderfully with a knotted chambray top, fun neutral wedges and easy yet cool accessories like this floppy hat, hoop earrings, big sunnies and amazing satchel.
Have an amazing weekend, I have several baseball games in my future and lots of family to see! Head over to {AV}'s blog to see how all the other stylists played with chambray.

I found that shirt too and was totally going to use it. It's super cute and I am in love with those nude wedges.
I totally agree! It's so fun and easy to put together these incredible outfits but in real life it's a lot more difficult :(
I like your look, though!

Love the knotted chambray shirt!! We agree with you too...we pick some items that we'd "love" to wear but that might not work on our bodies...it's what makes it so fun!
Oh and we have been using Seche Vite as a topcoat but Mendi recently bought the china Glaze topcoat and is trying that right now.

I've had a pair of thrifted palazzos in my closet for almost 2 years now that I've never worn. They're pretty intimidating. :)
I love the way you styled the chambray shirt. Those pants and the bright hat are perfect! xo

I am always hesitant to buy chambray because I don't know what to pair it with but you have given me such gorgeous inspiration! What a great summer look! :)
I need a chambray shirt in the worst sort of way. Kind of need those pants now, too...
I love the combination!
