Wednesday's Wardrobe: Flirty and Feminine

It comes as no surprise that dresses are my go-to choice on hot, summer days but this past week's constant blazing temperatures had me reaching for some of the lightest dresses in my arsenal.  I wore this white and black striped dress out on date night this past weekend.
Dress/Flower Pin - H&M, Belt - Betsey Johnson, Wedges -Target, Clutch - Gift, Bracelet-Provincetown

This is such a comfortable, yet versatile dress.  I chose to zip it up a little (after all, it was date night) with heels and a big flower pin but could have easily worn it with sandals, a cropped jacket and fedora for daytime.

I wore this awesome yellow dress to work on Tuesday.  I would love to have worn it for Everybody, Every Wear: Yellow back in July but I was mid-30x30 challenge so I had my own yellow celebration today.  Speaking of celebrations, I'm partaking in Pretty Shiny Sparkly's Arm Party!  All summer I've been loading my arms up with stacks of bracelets because I just love how much interest and color an armful of bangles add to an outfit.  I also finally wore these  L.A.M.B shoes; as hard as they are to walk in, they are really cute.  What's beauty without a little pain, right?

Dress - Cynthia Steffe (via Ruelala), Shoes - L.A.M.B  (via Ruelala),   Necklace/Earrings - gifts, Bracelets  - Target/DIY

Last but certainly not least, given the searing heat, sometimes you just have to sport a ponytail to get the hair off your face/neck.  On Friday night my friend Amber wore the cutest ponytail out to dinner and drinks.  Those adorable flowers in her hair? Believe it or not, they are shoe clips!  Isn't that the raddest?  She apparently picked up her Fab Feet clips at Target.  Way to remix those accessories Amber!

Hi Cara, Thanks for your super thoughtful comment! Curly hairs untie!! ... I mean unite! haha Dresses are such an awesome choice for heat - and so easy. There really is no excuse for seeing PJ pants in public kids - a dress is about 3 times easy and JUST as comfortable! + the LAMB shoes are sexy!
