BDIB Challenge: The Zebra's Meow

The most recent Bloggers Do It Better post challenged us to sport our best animal prints with extra points for mixing them.  My immediate response was, "Oh! I totally have this."  That cocky feeling carried me to Monday morning when I, cranky as a bear with a sore paw, realized a) as much as I love animal print I own almost none and b) brrr, its cold in here, there must be some Toros in the atmosphere, I should wear pants to work.  And you know how I feel about pants.  So I took the bull by the horns, paired this zebra print top with black pants, added a cheetah print belt and shoes, a cardigan and headed to work as quick as a dog can lick a dish.

Let's hope you can separate the sheep from the goats here, and focus on the belt and shoes and not my awful pocket, upper thigh situation.  Sorry, this is what I get for not looking at pictures right away!

Cardigan/Pants - Ann Taylor Loft, Top - Macy's, Belt- Betsy Johnson, Shoes - Steve Madden, Black Pearl Necklace and Earrings - gifts
I can't wait to see what all the other lovely animalistas come up with, I'm sure it will be the bees knees!  Check out Pretty Shiny Sparkly for other great animal printed outfits!

Phew, that was a lot of animal idioms!

A great outfit of mixed prints! I think you look fab. I've never seen a basic pair of black pants made so stylish. Those shoes are adorable, and work great with the zebra.

Anything animal prints is a winner in our book! Love that the zebra print is blue. When we did our animal print remix, we did a couple crazy pics for fun and mixing the prints actually worked a little bit, lol! Heather and Kayla

I Love that you mixed prints like that and it worked so well!! Your shoes are adorable...I am on the hunt for the perfect leopard flat. I use that Maybelline: Superstay 24 Hour lip color in All Day Cherry. I love it, it stays on forever--through work and an evening out without have to reapply!
