For Christmas my
sister-in-law got me a blog makeover, wahoo! I'm so excited to leave my pink blog in my past AND to finally have a menu organizing all of my randomness. So in return, I put together some looks for her and her brand spankin new career. Back in November she took a leap of faith and started her own dog walking business. While she spends her days playing with pups she doesn't want to look like a schlubby dog walker. She expressed interest in exploring leggings/jegging-based looks so I pulled together this board for her.
I wanted to give her affordable, comfortable clothes in sturdy fabrics that can be washed easily, layered or worn separately. Even if you have J.Lo's butt, pairing a longer top with your leggings is a must (in my humble opinion.) The red top and mauve sweater are mid-thigh but not so long that the pups could grab the bottom and begin a game of tug-of-war. Also, if you are wearing a fitted bottom the top should be looser to even out the proportions.
I kept the boots simple, flat and neutral. Both pairs of boots are functional but also fashionable for long walks by the lake. The accessories are minimal because dogs get dirty, and again I didn't want to put too much out there that they could grab hold of. Bib necklaces, colorful belts worn at the wait and bandanna scarves are easy ways to bring the eye up to the face and dress up a basic look. Some simple
earrings, or thin
bangle would be fun as well. I also love cute hats for winter and think she'd look great in a fun yet warm beanie.
Have a great weekend, I have 13 miles to run, soup to make and football to watch. What are you up to?
