Who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead... Don't get me wrong, I love my summer do but sometimes I have to get my curls off my face. Cute headbands are an easy fix on mornings when nothing else will do. Here's a homemade headband that takes less than 15 minutes to put together. For this project you will need:
- Three 1/2" wide strips of t-shirt approximately 18" in length
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- 1/4" wide Elastic, or one of these
1) I still have t-shirts leftover from this project so I cut three strips 1/2" wide and 18" long in white, orange and blue. Stretch and snap the strips to form tubes and then braid together.
2) Cut a piece of elastic to fit your head and hot glue the ends together. You will have a completed loop when finished gluing.
3) Hot glue the braided fabric to your elastic loop and voila!
Quick, easy and cuter than your average gym/cleaning/bad hair day headband. Random fact: Growing up my Dad recited that verse to me all the time and I thought he was so clever for coming up with it. In reality Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the verse, who knew!
